The Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has determined that 33-year-old Essence Preyer's manner of death was suicide.

The single working mom was found dead in her apartment on Lakeview Avenue in New Canaan back in September.

Preyer worked at the New Canaan Playhouse.

Her father told News 12 Connecticut that she was a mom of two and loved her kids more than life itself.
