Nearly 34% of registered nurses say they'll probably leave the business of patient care.
According to the survey by
Incredible Health, 34% of nurses surveyed reported that it is very likely that they will quit their job by the end of 2022.
Around 44% cited burnout and a high-stress environment as the reason for their desire to leave.
Benefits and pay are the second leading cause at 27%, according to by Incredible Health.
Officials say with no one to replace the nurses planning to leave, the U.S. could be short 450,000 nurses by 2025.
