The U.S. Coast Guard and Bridgeport Maritime Police helped rescue four people yesterday near Captain's Cove after their boat started taking on water.
No one was hurt in the incident, but the boat suffered significant damage.
Police say the boat's operator called the Coast Guard for help at around 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon after the craft hit some rocks outside Penfield Reef.
Viewer video of the boat shows it starting to fill with water after the impact.
Bridgeport's Maritime Unit was finishing another call in Stratford, but raced over to assist. They safely got everyone off board after the driver was able to beach the boat.
