Police: 2 charged in Stamford theft of vehicle that contained service dog

Police said the vehicle that was left running was taken from Richmond Hill Avenue on Saturday.

Two people were arrested and now face charges in connection to a stolen vehicle in Stamford that contained a service dog.
Police said the vehicle that was left running was taken from Richmond Hill Avenue on Saturday. They spotted it a few hours later on East Main Street.
The driver and passenger identified as Isiah Armstead and Paris Wade, were caught and arrested.
Armstead faces several charges which include larceny and cruelty to animals.
Wade also faces larceny charges amongst others.
The dog was reunited with its owner and both are OK. One officer, however, suffered minor injuries.
