? Sen. John McCain?s (R-Ariz.) vice presidential candidate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, revealed Monday that her unmarried 17-year-old daughter is five months pregnant.
While some local Republicans have been quick to praise Palin?s daughter, Bristol, for deciding to have the child and marry the father, southwestern Connecticut voters in general aren?t quite sure what to make of the news.
Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has told reporters to ?back off? Palin and her family, saying people?s families are ?off-limits? and should not be part of the candidates? politics.
