Amtrak officials say service has been restored after eight cars of an Amtrak freight train derailed in the Bronx Wednesday morning.
Authorities say several freight cars went off the tracks at around 10 a.m.
Amtrak Acela Express and Northeast Regional services were temporarily suspended between New York City and New Rochelle, New York for several hours.
The FDNY said no one was injured in the derailment.
Service was restored later Wednesday afternoon.
