More than 1,000 dancers from 45 states and 34 countries went before judges for a shot to become a world-famous Radio City Rockette.

There were endless counts of eight, high kicks and high hopes inside the studios at Radio City Music Hall.

"I've been here for one-fifth of the time,” said Danelle Morgan, as she enters her 20th season as a Rockette. “It's such an honor to be a part of it and see the company evolve in the time I've been here is really cool."

The iconic dance company is celebrating its 100-year anniversary.

“I have a feeling this year is going to be a huge jubilant celebration,” said "Christmas Spectacular" director and choreographer Julie Branam, “We are going to hopefully and I say this - I'm 100% sure we are going to make it just spectacular and the Rockettes will give it their all as they always do."

The first day of auditions brought a mix of nerves and excitement as dancers showcased their skills.

"It would mean the world to me, my father passed last year, and it would mean I see him through the lights while I am up on that stage,” said Dulce Aguilar Crespo, of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

Those who are Rockette veterans are eager to see the new talent the prospects bring to the stage.

“The pact that we all she together, this sisterhood, this legacy that we’ve kept alive for 100 years and will keep alive for another century,” said the 16-year veteran Rockette Taylor Shimko. “We’re celebrating 100 plus and all that is to come.”

“What an honor and a coveted job this is, not only is it a dream come true for some of us, but it is a wonderful job,” said Valeria Yamin.

Dancer's auditioning will be considered for a spot on the Rockettes line in the "2025 Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes" or an invitation to participate in the company’s no-fee dancer development program this summer.
