A Milford auto shop gave away free car washes and services to veterans Sunday in honor of Memorial Day.
Personal Touch owner Peter LaRoe says the shop came up with the idea in order to show veterans their appreciation for their service, but also provide them with needed car care as a gesture of gratitude. LaRoe says each veteran that came into the store was given more than $50 worth of car services, including a wash and quick lube.
"We don't think it's that difficult to do a little, give a little bit back, every little bit helps and every little bit counts," LaRoe says.
LaRoe says the event was such a success, his shop will definitely offer veterans the same services next Memorial Day.
