Bethlehem teen dies in 3-car crash in Woodbury

Tristian Ocasio, 17, was driving north when he veered into the southbound lane and hit a car driving in that lane. Following the initial impact, Ocasio then hit another car in a head-on collision.

A Bethlehem teenage has died following a three car accident in Woodbury.
It happened at 8:48 p.m. Saturday on Main Street.
Tristian Ocasio, 17, was driving north when he veered into the southbound lane and hit a car driving in that lane. Following the initial impact, Ocasio then hit another car in a head-on collision.
Ocasio died at the scene. The driver and passenger involved in the first accident were not injured. The driver who was hit head on had minor injuries and was taken to Waterbury Hospital.
Ocasio was a senior at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury. He had one sibling each at the high school and in middle school.
Superintendent Brian Murphy called Ocasio, "a wonderful student and uplifting."
Counselors will be on hand at both the middle and high schools for the rest of the week.
