A blind woman was rescued by a good Samaritan after she fell into the Norwalk River.
Elizabeth Greenwood thanked Steve McDow for pulling her out of freezing water on Tuesday afternoon.
Norwalk firefighters say the blind disability advocate fell into the river near 761 Main Ave. Greenwood says she slipped on ice and tumbled down a rocky ravine into the river.
First responders rushed to the scene but by the time they arrived, McDow had already pulled Greenwood out.
Greenwood was rushed to the hospital and has spent the week recovering.
Greenwood also thanked the first responders who lifted her out of the ravine and rushed her to Norwalk Hospital.
