Darien Animal Control is searching for the owner of a large snake that was found in town.
The 4-foot boa constrictor was discovered near Lakeside Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The Darien Nature Center is taking care of it while animal control officers try to find its owner.
Officers say they believe the snake is someone's pet because it was not dehydrated or malnourished when it was found.
Anyone with information about the snake or who it might belong to is asked to call Darien Animal Control.
