? Things returned to normal in Stamford Tuesday following a bomb scare at a bank.
Police say a suspicious package was found in the parking lot of the Bank of America at 14 High Ridge Rd. on Monday. The bomb squad descended on the scene soon after, and traffic was rerouted.
In the end, the package was determined to be an empty suitcase and posed no danger to the public.
?We did the prudent thing,? said Lt. Sean Cooney, of the Stamford Police Department. ?[We] cordoned off the area, called in the bomb squad and in about 90 minutes they determined it was not a problem.?
