Brazen robbers targeted several cars in Wilton in broad daylight last week, shocking the community.

According to police, seven cars in four different parking lots along Route 7 were burglarized Wednesday, January 17. Police say all the cars were locked, but the expensive items inside tempted robbers to smash the windows and reach inside. They say thousands of dollars of goods were taken, including GPS devices and cell phones.

Police are reviewing surveillance video from one of the parking lots. Anyone with information regarding the thefts is asked to contact the Wilton Police Department.
