Crews in Bridgeport spent Friday gearing up for the expected wintry storm to arrive this weekend.
Officials say they are following their basic winter-weather protocols. The 30 trucks that pretreat the roads were inspected so they can help the city prepare for the worst.
Workers say they're monitoring alerts from the National Weather Service and doing their best to get ready for whatever may come.
"Any storm, we always have all the trucks preloaded, we have all guys put on call, they go through their equipment, make sure everything's working properly," says Craig Nadrizny. "We just wait for the snow to come, and we just want everybody know to be cautious out there when they see our trucks and try to stay far away from them because they do take a lot of time to stop."
