Bridgeport Rescue Mission to host charity event in Darien
Organizers said 100% of the proceeds will benefit the nonprofit.

The Bridgeport Rescue Mission is preparing for an upcoming charity event featuring Ken Langone, co-founder of Home Depot, to support people with relief.
"We, basically, are an organization, a ministry, that reaches out and helps people who are going through times of feeling like they are hopeless, like there's no hope for them," Larry Fullerton, executive director of Bridgeport Rescue Mission said. "We provide them shelter, we provide them food, we provide them lodging."
Organizers said 100% of the proceeds will benefit the nonprofit.
That charity dinner will be at the Water's Edge at Giovanni's, in Darien on Nov. 9.
Fullerton said those interested in attending can buy tickets on their website.
