A group of angry Bridgeport residents announced it will hold a protest at City Hall this week to show its support for a popular police officer, who they say has been unfairly demoted.
The group says Lt. David Daniels, a 24-year veteran of the force, will no longer head the Community Services Division of the Bridgeport Police Department.
The protesters say he was demoted to patrol officer and that he will be working the midnight shift.
