A realty office that was destroyed after a January fire reopened Saturday after months of renovations.
MP Power Realty was gutted by the blaze just two days before its grand opening. "Everything that I did was destroyed," says owner Maria Paleatsos.
Paleatsos says the fire that tore through the building on Westchester Avenue also badly damaged two other businesses the realty company shares space with. Paleatsos says dedication and strong support from family and friends allowed her to persevere.
"I said it's not going to stop me. I was here every day when they were rebuilding the office," she says. "I wanted my office to have a certain look and we've come a long way."
