A single-car accident Saturday on I-95 in Stamford killed the driver and seriously injured two passengers.
The incident happened at about 7 a.m. near Exit 6 of I-95. State police say the driver of the car, Tyrone Craig, of Stratford, may have fallen asleep when he veered off the road and crashed into a wall holding up the Wilson Street overpass.
Craig was pronounced dead at the scene. The two passengers, 21-year-old Shannon Gorham and 21-year-old Jarrell Jean-Baptiste, both of Bridgeport, were taken to Stamford Hospital in critical condition.
