Children were among the demonstrators who took to the streets of Bridgeport Tuesday to rally for immigration rights.
Rally organizers were joined by children and their parents to voice their concerns over deportation and how the city budget impacts immigrants. Those in attendance say they want to make the immigrant population in Bridgeport feel welcome.
Some of the people at the rally say they don't want parents to be taken from their children.
The Bridgeport City Council passed a resolution last year declaring Bridgeport a welcoming city. Organizers say they would like that resolution to become an ordinance.
