Places of worship were filled today as residents tried to come to grips with the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School Friday.

Worshippers say their community is in need of healing and that prayer will get them there.

Officials at St. Rose of Lima in Newtown say the church will be packed all week. Eight funerals will be held there this week, each for a victim of Friday's massacre.
