The Norwalk community is coming together to raise awareness about eating disorders.
The National Eating Disorder Association is hosting an awareness walk in Norwalk Sunday.
The walk is raising money for families affected by this mental illness.
"A lot of times people think it's a fad and it's a choice. But it's so important to know that it's not and it's actually the second deadliest of mental illnesses, besides opioid addiction. So it's so important that we keep talking about it and we use our voices and that we raise critical funds to support people that are struggling," said event organizer, Paige Sklar.
The event will also feature guest speakers who will share stories of healing and recovery.
