Connecticut police departments say they're prepared for whatever situations may arise while the polls are open on Election Day.
Police tell News 12 they have no intelligence suggesting there will be unrest in Fairfield County either while voting happens or afterward.
They say they're optimistic it will be a peaceful process.
Norwalk officials say they will have police at all polling locations, and may add extra officers to help with traffic.
Fairfield police say they're prepared to go to polls if there is an issue, but won't be stationed outside.
