County and state police caught a suspected kidnapper in a shed on Donald Avenue in Westchester County after a seven-hour manhunt Monday.
The small shed was behind a house up for sale on Richie Galante's property.
"I took a realtor down the driveway and I was showing her the backyard," Galante said. "And we were standing there not knowing somebody was ... in that shed."
Officials say a Bronx man was holding his victim at gunpoint in a car when he crashed on I-87 and took off running this morning near Edith's Way and Jackson Avenue in Greenburgh.
Police say 28-year-old Johan Ramos abducted his ex-girlfriend in the Bronx early Monday morning and a fight occurred as they drove north on I-87 near Exit 7 in Ardsley.
Investigators say shots were fired, the car crashed and Ramos took off, leaving his injured ex-girlfriend behind.
Officials say an injured Ramos approached a resident asking for a ride. The resident refused, and then Ramos went on the run.
Police found a gun on the scene, and the car was full of bullet holes.
The ex-girlfriend was taken to the hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
