Traffic is moving again on the Taconic Parkway following a deadly crash.
It happened Tuesday afternoon in the southbound lanes near Route 55 in LaGrangeville.
"It's the worst I have ever seen around here," says Melissa Hoffmann, who works close to where the accident happened.
The southbound lanes on the Taconic Parkway were closed to traffic for nearly four hours.
"Traffic was starting to get backed up and then we were at a stop-and-go, just a crawl. The road was closed right at the exit," says Gary Burleigh, who was driving through the area.
State police have not said what caused the crash. It appears at least two cars were involved.
There's no word on how many people were inside the cars.
