The death of a 70-year-old woman in Watertown has officially been declared a homicide.

The death of a 70-year-old woman in Watertown has officially been declared a homicide.
The state medical examiner confirmed that Maryann Kibbe-Stanisz died from blows to the head and neck.
Kibbe-Stanisz was found dead Wednesday at her home at 24 Bushnell Ave. in the Oakville section of Watertown. Police found her while responding to a welfare check around 2:30 p.m.
The homicide is the first in Watertown in over six years.
The victim's car was found in Waterbury.
