A parking meter price hike may have some Bronx drivers digging a little deeper into their pockets.
The city's Department of Transportation approved the rate to park throughout the Bronx and city in February. Instead of a quarter to park for 30 minutes, it is now a quarter for every 20 minutes.
Many Riverdale residents say they are upset they were not informed of the price change.
The DOT says the price hike is to help close the city's budget gap.
