The state unveiled new snowplows Tuesday that could get roads cleared faster during a storm.
The Department of Transportation introduced a "super plow" that can plow two lanes of a highway at the same time.
Three super plows will be ready for the roads this winter.
"It would take three traditional snowplows to do what this plow, plus a tow plow, will do," says Connecticut Department of Transportation Commissioner James Redeker.
The new plows will run along I-95 and I-91.
The state DOT has only bought three of the plows, but they hope to have more for next winter.
