Seniors of Fairfield Warde High School experienced a bittersweet graduation Wednesday night as one of their classmates was absent from the ceremony.
Many graduating students tell News 12 that a fellow classmate and graduate, Lee Faiga, remains recovering in the hospital after a car accident in May.
Police said Faiga was the passenger of a Jeep that crashed into a utility pole on Knapps Highway. Faiga and the driver had just left Fairfield Warde High School at the time.
Students say they wish Faiga was sitting among them, but they are sending prayers and love her way.
