Fairfield police: 2 men arrested after blowing up 3 homemade explosives

Nathaniel Lennon, of Fairfield, and Daniel Calarco, of Fairfield, are charged with breach of peace and two counts of reckless endangerment in the first degree, according to police.

Two men turned themselves in after allegedly blowing up 3 homemade explosives, according to Fairfield police.

Nathaniel Lennon, of Fairfield, and Daniel Calarco, of Fairfield, are charged with breach of peace and two counts of reckless endangerment in the first degree, according to police.

Police say they were blowing up their homemade explosives, but that one injured his hand after the third explosive blew up. The Stamford Bomb Squad destroyed the fourth explosive bomb.

Both men posted bond. Lennon is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Jan. 21. Calarco is scheduled to appear on Jan. 24.
