After a long election season, it's time to treat yourself – by getting some Girl Scout cookies at Connecticut's polling places this week.
The Girl Scouts of Connecticut are hosting their popular election week cookie booths through Nov. 10.
There are over 300 cookie booths statewide at various polling sites and other locations. Several booths will be set up after Election Day.
Elicia Pegues Spearman, the CEO of Girls Scouts of Connecticut, says the campaign is about more than just providing voters with a sweet treat.
"Cast your votes and come out and support our young entrepreneurs," she says. "Cookie sales is how they figure out time management, people skills and business ethics. It's the largest entrepreneur program."
Many troops are also hosting virtual booths on social media to reach more customers. They will also be taking orders for their big cookie drop in February.
