Gov. Lamont: 3rd Connecticut resident dies from the coronavirus

Gov. Lamont said that there were 159 positive cases of COVID-19 in the state during a briefing late Thursday afternoon.

Gov. Ned Lamont says the death toll from the coronavirus in the state has risen to three.
Bill Pike, 91, of New Canaan died of complications from the virus while being treated at Norwalk hospital. Pike was reportedly a friend of Gov. Lamont's father.
Late Thursday afternoon, the governor’s office announced a second New Canaan resident, a man in his 80s, also died because of the coronavirus.
The first fatality was an 88-year-old from Ridgefield who had been in assisted living. He died while being treated at Danbury Hospital.
Gov. Lamont said that there were 159 positive cases of COVID-19 in the state during a briefing late Thursday afternoon. He says the vast majority are in Fairfield County. At least one positive case has been recorded in every county in the state except for New London.
