Many drivers admit to ignoring the hands-free cell phone law. They say they skip the extra step if they're just driving a couple of blocks. But some drivers at the Fairfield Rest Stop on I-95 were seen putting on their headsets before hitting the highway.
Police say whether you're driving a mile or a hundred, if you're caught driving while chatting on the phone without a hands-free device, it could cost you $100.
