One classmate received a special award at the Harding High School class of 1948 reunion.

Louise Zarifian Goorhigian, 93, of Bridgeport, received an award for having perfect attendance during all four years of school.

Goorhigian said it was fantastic and surprising to get the award.

Her classmates, who are all around the age of 93, said this could be their last chance to get together and recognize Goorhigian.

"I never thought anything of it, you know, that's what I did, I went to school every day, that was it, but I didn't expect it," said Goorhigian.

Her classmates described her as a humble person who always helped out everyone.
