A road collapse in Gloucester County caused power outages and flooding on Friday.
Police say it happened around 7:30 a.m. on Swamp Road in Harrison Township. They say it was caused by a clogged rain culvert, which gave way. They say all of the retained water was released toward Raccoon Creek, causing a large section of the road to collapse. It also brought down power lines.
No injuries were reported and no homes were damaged.
Residents were asked to avoid the area while crews cleaned up the mess.
