HEAT ALERT: Hot temps for Connecticut Sunday; chance of thunderstorms Monday

NOW: It's hot and noticeably more humid but not excessive. It feels hotter only because temperatures were running below normal this past week. The summery weekend will continue. Temps similar for Sunday. Highs close to 90 away from the shoreline.
NEXT: Cold front comes in late Sunday into Mon. Risk of showers and a few t-storms. At this point SPC is not saying severe. Cooler Monday.

Temps come back up mid to late week. More 90s possible. Storms likely next weekend with a stalled front. Not what people want to see for their "holiday weekend".

OVERNIGHT: Clear skies, warm and muggy. Lows 65-70.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny, hot again. Highs upper-80s.
MONDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH - Showers and PM storms likely, some sunny breaks at times. Highs around 80.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs around 80.
WEDNESDAY: Sunny skies, very nice. Highs lower 80s.
THURSDAY: Sun and clouds, middle 80s.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY: Heat increases, partly sunny, lower 90s both days.
