A teenage jogger was hit by a car Monday morning and is lucky to be alive, Easton police say.
Officials say the incident happened on Route 136, which is a main road with no shoulder.
They say the girl was trying to cross the road near West Road and was hit by a car coming around a curve traveling about 25 mph.
Police say the impact launched her into the air and she landed on the hood of the car.
They say she was treated for minor injuries at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport and was released.
Police say they gave the jogger a verbal warning for reckless use of the highway by a pedestrian.
They say the driver was not charged.
