Storm Team Meteorologist Jonathan Cubit visited kindergarteners at the Adam J. Lewis Academy in Bridgeport on Wednesday.

He also went live with the students during his weather forecasts.

Students recently learned about weather and climate.

Teachers say no matter how young students are, it's important for them to learn about the weather.

"For kindergarteners who are still learning their letters and numbers we have them understand what they needed to wear to protect themselves when they go out in this weather," says science teacher Linda Murphy.

Students are also learning how weather and the winter impact bees.

The school has an indoor observation beehive.
