A judge has determined that the 22-year-old man from Orange who allegedly stabbed his mother to death is not competent to enter a plea.
Timothy Granata appeared in Milford Superior Court Tuesday morning. Police say he was found clutching a Bible and admitted to the alleged murder back in July.
The judge sent Granata to a mental health facility for 60 days.
His attorney says he is hopeful that treatment can help the case move forward.
