A judge raised the bail today for the New Haven woman accused in the sexual assault and attempted abduction of a Bridgeport teen earlier this month.
Towana Randall appeared in court this afternoon.
The judge increased Randall's bail to $125,000, saying she was on probation and had 15 prior convictions at the time of her arrest.
Police say Randall began to touch the 17-year-old girl after the teen got into the car. The victim managed to escape by jumping out of the moving car. Police say surveillance video provided them with key evidence.
Police say Randall admitted to picking up the teen, but maintains she only grabbed the girl after she stole money from the cupholder.
Randall is due back in court on Nov. 3
