Friends and family said a painful goodbye Friday to a 20-year-old Westport man who was killed in a car crash last weekend.
Brian Anderson was killed early Sunday morning when the car he was riding in lost control when changing lanes on I-95 in Westport and he was ejected.
His wake was held at Saugatuck Congregational Church in Westport where people are still trying to come to grips with what happened to him.
"It's so tragic and sad to see a family hurting like this," says family friend Maria Maisonet. "And definitely they are a really great family that needs all the love and support they can get."
More than 700 people donated to surpass a fundraising goal of $60,000 on a GoFundMe page for Anderson.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Saugatuck Congregational Church and a private burial will be held Tuesday at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport.
