Hundreds of people in Westport joined millions across the country Saturday in giving back to their community.

Volunteers worked on several community service projects at the senior center as part of "Make A Difference Day." They made bags filled with toiletries and gifts for the homeless, victims of abuse and needy children.

It was just one of more than two dozen events going on in the area over the past several days to try and make a difference.
