A man was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer Saturday night in Bridgeport, officials say.
The crash happened on Newfield Avenue around 7:30 p.m.
Police say 41-year-old Tarryl Brown, of Bridgeport, was driving his Toyota Camry on the roadway when he collided with a parked 18-wheeler under the I-95 overpass, wedging his vehicle underneath it.
Police say it's not clear why the truck was parked under the bridge in a no-parking zone.
News 12 is told that Brown’s vehicle was wedged deep under the back end of the truck, requiring first responders to have to cut him out of the car.
Police say Brown was unresponsive when they arrived.
Brown was taken to Bridgeport Hospital where he died of his injuries a short time later.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Bridgeport police.
