Man rescued from Sound in Milford
A man from Waterbury was rescued from the waters off the coast of Milford yesterday. Officials say the 52-year-old man was walking with his son on the sandbar to Charles Island when the tide came in.

A man from Waterbury was rescued from the waters off the coast of Milford yesterday.
Officials say the 52-year-old man was walking with his son on the sandbar to Charles Island when the tide came in.
His son was able to swim to safety, but the man was left clinging to a buoy until help arrived.
Officials say they treated the man for minor injuries.
