A Bridgeport man has written a song to raise awareness about Ebola.
Johantz Wilson says he moved to Bridgeport from West Africa when he was a child. He says he became determined to one day return to help those suffering from Ebola after hearing that his cousin had recently died of the disease in his native Liberia.
Wilson says his fear is that as concerns about Ebola cases in this country subside, so too will awareness about the problem worldwide. He says he is working with the American Red Cross to promote a song he wrote about the illness.
Wilson dedicated the song to his cousin and hopes it will help keep other families from suffering. All of the money his song raises will go to the American Red Cross.
