A Bridgeport woman wants out of her housing complex after bullets riddled her home last week.
Michelle Dennis, of Bridgeport, was out of town on with her family Friday night when police say a man opened fire on a crowd, leaving one man in serious condition. Dennis says it wasn't until they returned to the Marina Village Housing Complex on Ridge Avenue Sunday morning that they found bullet holes throughout their apartment.
Dennis says she no longer feels safe in her own home, and wants to move out of the area.
City Councilwoman Denese Taylor-Moye, who lives in Marina Village, says she's currently working with the Bridgeport Housing Authority to help the family get a transfer out of their apartment.
Dennis says she will not be satisfied unless she is transferred to a new community away from Marina Village. She says this is the second time her house has been shot at.
