The battle for determining school start times wages on in New Fairfield after the school board unanimously voted to appoint at least one member as a liaison to a "school start time’s committee."
The group of parents are hoping to change start times to better align with students' sleep schedules.
The middle school students' day now starts at 7:50 a.m. and high schoolers start classes at 7:19 a.m.
Some parents argue starting classes any time before 8:30 a.m. can have a "detrimental impact" on students' health and safety.
