A New Hartford man was arrested Friday after parole officers found more than 500 milligrams of cocaine inside his home.
Police say parole officers called them for help with a visit at the residence on Seneca Turnpike.
Upon discovering the suspected drug, a local investigator was called in to further evaluate the substance.
The investigator confirmed it was cocaine and had 34-year-old Arturo Williams taken into custody.
He is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to police.
Child Protective Services was also called to the scene because a juvenile was inside the home at the time.
Authorities say Williams was taken to The Oneida County Jail and held for arraignment.
