A bill signing ceremony was held at the Friends Center in New Haven on Tuesday to celebrate significant changes to Connecticut's early childhood education and child care system.
The legislation, which was signed into law by Gov. Ned Lamont, expands the state's Care 4 Kids program, a critical resource for low- and moderate-income families struggling with child care costs.
The expansion increases eligibility for the program, allowing more families to access affordable and quality child care.
Elected officials, who joined Lamont for the ceremony, highlighted the bill's importance in improving accessibility and affordability for families.
