A number of Norwalk businesses say they're stepping in to help the residents displaced in a Monday night fire at 100 Richards Ave.

Among them is the Forever Sweet Bakery, which is collecting donations in the forms of gift cards and money. 

"We're community oriented," says Sky Mercede, the owner. "It makes us feel good, and we want to put smiles on people's faces, whether it's baked goods or donations."

Other businesses are donating food and supplies themselves. The owners say anything they can muster helps, especially during the holidays.

The fire department building on Connecticut Avenue is also accepting donations.
