Norwalk firefighters stay vigilant on Thanksgiving

While Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to be home with family and friends, not everyone gets the day off. Norwalk Fire Department Chief Stephen Shay and his crew have already responded to one emergency.

While Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to be home with family and friends, not everyone gets the day off.
Norwalk Fire Department Chief Stephen Shay and his crew have already responded to one emergency. "We had an oven fire. The turkey was burnt," he says. "I think [the home owner] just blamed it on the oven."
Of course, there are many others also on the clock on Thanksgiving - including police, health workers and those in the service industry.
